Fur Felts

RES fur felts are all hand blocked using traditional hatter methods.  We have a collection of both open blocks and blocks with shapes.  I spent a period under the tutelage of a master hatter Jim Whittington of Salt Lake City Utah in 2009 and 2010.  Most of the hatter techniques that I learned in Salt Lake City are no longer being practiced.  I have in my tool collection, both vintage and reconstructions of the first hatter used in industry.  I use a variety of both traditional and contemporary embellishments: leather, feathers, silk, and many other elements.  Thats what makes a RES hat unique.
